 Dr.                                         Harolodo Toro
Dr. Haroldo Toro, Professor of Avian Diseases in the Department of Pathobiology, received his DVM degree in 1983 from the University of Chile and his PhD in 1987 from the Institute of Avian Diseases of Justus-Liebig-University of Giessen, Germany. Between 1987 and 2001 Dr. Toro worked as a faculty member in the Laboratory of Avian Pathology at the University of Chile College of Veterinary Sciences in Santiago. In May 2002, he joined the faculty at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. His research incorporates pathological, epidemiological, etiological, and immunological aspects of viral diseases of poultry.
Dr. Toro has published 80 peer-reviewed articles in the field of avian diseases and is a member of the editorial board the of the Avian Diseases journal.
