Me too! For the record if a cat was going to get a chicken I imagine there would be plenty of feather evidence - after all a cat can't kill a chicken so easily as that and not leave feathers everywhere! But again, I think the cats aren't the culprit - chickens look very large to a cat and cats don't tend (neither do most mammals) to attack 'prey' larger than themselves.

I also have lots of cats and I have never seen them bother the chickens. I saw one cat approach some chicks and when mama hen went after her, she totally ran for the hills.
I sure hope that anyone shooting cats really KNOWS they are killing their chickens.
