Do you have a link to that water dish or a pic? I had a plastic waterer on raised bricks but they'd knock it over. Wet silkies are not a good thing. So now they have several crocks on bricks and they don't knock those over. I haven't seen any wet crests either. I just know that I'm going to need a better water system for them before summer because those crocks don't hold enough water for the heat.
I haven't been able to till anything in. The soil is so rocky there that I haven't been able to till in there. I rake the shavings and droppings out. Can I put lime down and shavings on top? Would that do? I haven't had much issue with parasites here so far knock on wood. The current coop has only been there for about a year and a half. So that may be why.
Thank you for your suggestions.
