Okay, I've been combing the net for a couple of days now, and I still don't know if Ivermectin will kill gape worms...some say it will, some say it won't. I went ahead and gave the Ivermectin 5% on the skin two days ago, but now I think I needed to use Safeguard or another wormer. So, 1.) what the heck do I use? 2.) how long do I have to wait before giving them another kind of wormer? and 3.) dosage, dosage, dosage---I have no idea what the bird weighs (young Polish hen), is there a standard dosage I could use? This poor hen---she seems to get better, then worse again, then better, etc. I'm already treating her for a bacterial infection, but at this point it seems to be one step forward, two steps back. : (
