And all I can find most of the time are the curly little flakes. Our stores need to trade for us! I put down 25lbs lbs of lime and 5 bales of bedding today. As it gets colder I am deepening the bedding in each pen. Before I add it I sprinkle a little bit of barn lime over the bedding that is there, then put the new bedding down.

Thanks for the clarification. Yes both are the same price as Tractor
but sometimes only one or the other is there. My chickens prefer the small shavings but this winter all they have had are flakes...oh well.
They've managed.
