Marla,What a complete bummer and huge loss! I'd cry! So sorry for your squished gosling. I'd order more geese from where you got them, the put them all together. If you want two I'd get 4. You can always sell the extras or eat them. I would not bring in germs from another back yard poultry keeper.

Subject: [CHICKENS-101] Not a happy morning find
Went out to let the chickens out and to give the waterfowl babies water (they always need more water) and found one of my goslings squished. They aren't tiny anymore but they're in with ducklings that are just a bit bigger then them. I guess the ducklings need to be moved into another pen. I'm not one to cry but finding one of my much anticipated goslings dead just about puts me there. I knew I should have gotten more than 2 just to be safe.
If I got a few more goslings soon is it easier to introduce them as still young geese or should I wait and find another young adult in a few months? I don't want the remaining one to be lonely.
