RE: [CHICKENS-101] STUD ROOSTER SERVICE?

 

            I am not sure what your problem is.  You do not need a rooster for eggs.  You DO need a rooster for chicks—so either sneak one in for awhile or send your hens to someone with a rooster. 

            If it was up to me, I would try keeping a rooster for awhile and see what happens.  At worst, you’d have to get rid of it, right?  Depending on the breed, you might get away with having one if it isn’t a super noisy breed.
