It’s not so much what I got, but what he did for me. He wrapped all extension cords in pvc pipe, so no exposed chords. He put a new light and timer in the main coop, added four roosting perches to another coop, set up all waterers with heaters and power and today , he made me a new heater base for the turkey pen.
We found a birdbath heater for 17.99. He already had a galvanized pan and attached it to the inside of the pan, drilled a hole and installed a rubber grommet for the cord to come out the side and voile! A heater base for less than $20.
This year he made a small tractor for my Game chickens, added on to our small barn for the guineas, added more roosts inside the small barn for the guineas, built a shed for the goats so we could evict them from their barn and use it for the chickens!

Subject: [CHICKENS-101] best chicken related Christmas present received
For Christmas I received a warm barn coat with a hood, 3 pair of tall, thick outdoor socks, and two heater bases. What was your best chicken related present you received this year?
