If there is something special about the individual, I like the suggestion to bury her under a plant.  (We have a number of dogs and cats buried under certain trees and shrubs... not to mention 8 of my horses buried up on the hill at the back of the pasture.)
 
If you have an active thermophilic compost pile/bin, it should be able to handle something the size of a chicken--might be a few larger bones left.  Just be sure the carcass is well down into the hottest part of the compost.  (Pay no attention to the compost "experts" who say never to put in meat, fat, pet manures, etc.--as long as it's a hot pile, or else will be allowed to rot down for two years, you can safely bury any of those in the pile.  Just cover with a layer of hay, weeds, leaves, etc., and there will be no smell to annoy you or attract anything to dig--and if you want to be *sure* you can lay a piece of wire screening over the top.)
