Well, until someone with more experience...both need places to hide, high protein feed, leafy vegs, diced vegs/fruits, sprouts, and occassional insects. 10 x 20 is normally a decent run for pheasants. In some species the males can really beat up on females. Space, hiding places, toys/distractions, varied diets, exercise, excellent nutrition all help reduce aggression.
We keep our pheasants away from noise, kids, road traffic and any fast movements.
