Yeah, we have chicken hawks around and also eagles once in a while. There are even turkey vultures about a mile away.
I have no idea how this guy got into the pen. He must have found a small hole in the wire. He was trapped so little Slick got him. He is smaller than the hawk, I was really surprised how fierce he was but he has new chicks in the pen so.............................He's a good boy!!

He has always thought he was tough and this proves it. He is a sweetheart as long as no one threatens his hens. Unfortunately this one was his "mate". Slick is only about 10 inches tall.
