[CHICKENS-101] should I move my brooding hen now or after her egg hatches?

hi all,
I'm letting one of my broody hens set on one egg. The problem is her nest box is about 4.5 feet off the ground. I want to give her and her future chick a safe place to settle at night and plan to place a dog crate on the floor beneath the nest box. The hen house is completely secure and safe so predators will not be a threat. Should I move her and her egg now (she's been setting since the 15th) or should I wait until the chick hatches and then move them both. I expext that I'll have to secure them in the crate with food and water for a couple days to "train" her to use it.
Thanks Patty
