I mentioned tipping Romeo upside down to get the food out and Peter said NO only use this as a LAST RESORT... It must be extremely dangerous to do this type of procedure because it kind of scared me when I read it. He said the liquid will adventurally move whatever is blocking him... So I'm glad I didn't jump the gun to that one....
So since Romeo has started his new Liquid diet today we were able to get 180ml of it down him. That's 6 ounces according to Peter. I just got done checking on him and OMG, he is acting like a different chicken already. He's very perky, very alert, very active, at one point he even shook his head like he was getting ready to CROW. Thanks to all of you guys for your support and EXSPECIALLY Peter, I have great confidence Romeo is going to pull threw. HAHAHAHA, But I will keep you guys informed on the progress....HIP HIP HORAH, HIP HIP HORAH. I'm sure all his lady friends miss him dearly since he is in the emergency coop and away from his homeee's...
OH crap I didn't think about that, if Romeo does fully recover do I need to keep him separated for sometime? He's really not considered new to the flock but he's been away from them so long.. and I know the rule of thumb is to keep a new chicken separated for at least a month before introducing them with the current flock..
Romeo, Romeo, Let down your................. Feathers?.. LOL.
