[CHICKENS-101] no water

 

The city turned the water off to the neighborhood with no advance notice. :(   No shower/bath unless I haul water from the barn well and heat it on the stove. Sigh... I should have showered as soon as I was done with feeding and watering and the garden. Instead I sat down to enjoy an iced coffee first and fell asleep for a good 3 hours. :(  

I am so glad I filled a couple of jugs for the outdoor pen water dishes and put them by the gates for in the morning.  I'll have to go out tonight and get a jug of water for the dog and chicks. 

Might as well go do that now and see if I need to chase the deer off.  Left the farm pick up truck in the garden and dirty barn clothes hanging like a scare crow.  I walk out, get into the truck, wait for the deer, start the truck and haul after them. So far they have not went near the garden plants and my clothes. I even change the clothing around off and on.
