Allen, I'd put Beatrice with the silkies, in numbers the silkies can handle her. Silkies are small, 2-5lbs, but spunky in numbers. Wish you had my extras right now out of the baby barn. I am getting ready to show them and sell them. Am sending some of the smaller ones to a friend thru the USPS on Tuesday, if our weather holds. You'd save me washing, entering them, and keeping them in condition until the show!! LOL! I offered to ship silkies, have one box left. Then we had a drop in temps and 2 ice storms!!! I am going to wait to buy their water melon until I am on my way home from school so I don't jinx shipping!!!! I might have to work my way down to your area too bearing gifts of egg laying down.

Susan,
Thanks so much for the invitation. I might actually take you up on that. I waiting for my wife to join me, we've been without her since June. Visa issues. Once she comes we're due a trip north and it would be good to have a place to stay on the trip up.
Of course, you are welcome here as well. We're in Gulf Breeze between Pensacola and Pensacola Beach. Wonderful area and great beaching from here. Matter of fact if you come I'd highly recommend a stay at Fort Pickins, right on the beach. We'll have all the stuff you need for camping there.
By the way, I'm writing to Catheryn privately. Perhaps we should make it public. I'm almost sold on the Silkies. They look and sound and I'll bet feel great. My last question to her had to do with getting a Silkie breed big enough for bigger eggs and meat. I love their looks. I like having the one pet chicken and look forward to going out back to be greeted by her.
