I had to go and it's actually 69 more miles than what I stated. I google mapped it. Last time I went up north I had trees down every where. Thankfully they missed the house, the deck, the propane tank, the garage, the canoe, the fence getting part of top pickets broken by a huge tree was ok. We couldn't see the docks or the river. Couldn't even get around the yards. Arrived to find it cleaned up, the branches stacked in neat piles, and the wood stacked in neat piles too. I am buying my neighbor gift certificates to two of the restaurants in the area.
I was up to find someone to cut the wood for me. Now I only have to find a local timber company to trade standing timber too for cutting down the rest of the tall pines and the oak that has branches right over my little mobil home. I need the trees away from everything in case of a forest fire. When I go up, I go on over to a nearby town to the Amish feed store and have feed made.

I might think of doing that if I could afford it; however, I don't have any other reason(s) to go any distance other than to get feed...well, I could go 650 miles to visit my family...that would make for very expensive chicken feed...LOL!

I drove 286 miles to get a ton of my feed made a certain way. I went up north, combined the trip with paying my taxes, collecting my mail, and checking on my mobil home on the river. It's a long ways to go and expensive. My chickens gobble it up and love it, and it's good for them.
