RE: [CHICKENS-101] You have received photos from Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.0

I have two Anatolian Shepherds…….also from Turkey and they handle the heat better, but they are all still hot.  I have found with the Pyrs that blowing out their undercoat in the Spring and shaving their bellies has really helped tremendously.  They did very well this summer and it was a horribly hot one.  It helps that we have a large barn with big drum fans to keep the alpacas cooled down and the dogs ain’t dummies when it comes to priority seating!

Unfortunately, neither of my Anatolians has proven to be good guardians for the poultry.  My Pyrs take their guardianship very seriously, but the Anatolians haven’t, so far.  They are young, but I don’t have much hope for them to guard the chickens.

Great Pyrenees? I wish I could have one.... its too hot here. I have
been looking on the internet at Kengals. They are an LGD from Turkey.
Shorter coat about the same height.

I may have to do with a Rott Lab cross of some sort. Still researching.
