Re: [CHICKENS-101] Re: chicken toys?

I haven't tried any treats after the cabbage didn't work this winter. They ignored it until it got gross and I took it out. Either my girls are picky, boring, or were sufficiently entertained otherwise.

I put frozen treats in a simple suet feeder, and the girls love pecking at it. Since it moves every time one of them makes contact, it keeps them guessing. In the winter I'll put in homemade, non-frozen treats. I might also try threading fruits and vegetables on fishing line and looping a strand where it's almost - but not quite - out of their reach - make them work for it.

If you want things to amuse your chickens (I like the mirror idea and am going to do it), just stop by the pet store and look at the hamster Habitrails to get some ideas.
