Re: [CHICKENS-101] Yikes, just barely got my young chicks under cover ahead of the rain!

 

Georgia Oh no, the snow actually makes a hollow around the building, but it will snow up to the level of the roof/eave.  It's really quite beautiful and sparkly. You can use a snow rake to pull the edges down easily.  Jane and I threw ice melt cakes on my roof this year rather than rake it.  I was too tired to do the job and found ice melt cakes for roofs.  I need to practice my perfect pitches I used to make when I played softball so they went exactly where I wanted them. I would not use the ice melt cakes in the chicken pens, thus the snow roof with a nice overhand. Cath
