Wow, and I thought the Palo verde bugs were huge in Arizona. Actually, they are as big as the Palmetto bugs but fly very well. I was on the roof deck of my sons house and one flew by about 15 feet ABOVE us and you could see him well. One flew into my house once before I had ever seen one and scared the crap out of me. I am sure my Mexican neighbors thought I was doing the Mexican hat dance if they saw me through the windows dodging the thing!!
