RE: [CHICKENS-101] nesting boxes

 

We got our coop and run enclosure attatched from Ebay – and when it arrived the run looked a lot smaller than I had imagined so my hubby built a 2 metre long extension on the side to give the girls extra space.

 

The nesting box part is made with thinner wood and sticks out at one end and I was worried that the girls would be cold at night in the winter so I have fashioned a large cardboard box that fits inside their nesting box, full of bedding to give the girls extra insulation.

 

The first time I fashioned 2 cardboard boxes side by side but found that all 4 girls would squeeze into one box, which looked comical with the odd foot sticking out!!!

 

I will take some photos of the girls coop and nestiong box – they are spoiled and even have a mirror in there!!!
