I did, years ago, know of a farmer who had a one legged duck - it may be different but if that worked out I don't see why a one legged chicken wouldn't.
He made a kind of mobility aid thing courtesy of Action Man's jeep wheels. It'd flop down and pipe for a lift when it was out of this contraption. Very sweet to see - really delightful character in the first place. His dog would help it about a bit sometimes too. Odd, as it was an Airedale terrier. I'd have thought that breed of dog would have eaten it!
The duck never went in to water again, but then that aint a consideration for a chicken anyway.
