In 2005 I had a massive heart attack and, consequently, a triple by-pass. Before the heart attack I had absolutely no energy, and would drift off to sleep watching a television show - something I've never done in my life. I KNOW the kind of exhaustion you're talking about, Cathryn!
I sustained damage to the heart muscle from the heart attack, and am operating on a 37% refraction rate.
(Normal is between about 55% and 70%). I now need more sleep (9 hours a night instead of 7 or 7 1/2), but I sleep better and do not get sleepy during the day. I have plenty of energy, but not as much stamina. I have to pace myself, especially when working out in the garden in Florida's summer heat and humidity. But, in general, I feel 100% better than I did - 200% if you factor in the difference a hip replacement 2 years ago made.
You'll get through this, Cathryn. Just keep plugging away as best you can. You know we're all rooting for you. What does the Cleveland Clinic say about a pacemaker? They're usually pretty cutting edge.
