This is the first batch of eggs I have tried to incubate.  We borrowed a bator from a friend.  I noticed this morning that one egg has pipped.  I could also hear them chirping once in a while.  When I looked into the window again I notice another had pipped.  I am so excited, and scared!  I have raised baby chickens we got from the feed store but I never hatched them :)  How fun.  I am thinking they will go into a brooder in the house for at least a week before I will take them to see the buff orphington pullet to take over.  I am afraid that will either over or under heat outside.  You probably don't do heat lamps in the summer or do you still need them outside???  Things that you don't learn in a book.  Any help would be appreciated.  I am sure I will have fuzzy butts tomorrow.
