i have never been alergic (and i still am not) but about 10 yrs ago, my mother in law came to live with us and i broke my leg and my husband went away for work for about a month and i didnt see him. our grass was 4 ft tall so with all the stress my immune system was that of an AIDS victim in Africa and i broke out with the stuff from head to toe, inside and out. it was awful. my blisters had blisters (no kidding). now things are better and when we go cut wood i can pull the vines off the logs like i own it. it must have been just a burp in my immunity, so the moral of the story is dont let your mother in law live with you or you will get poison ivy.
just my 2 cents worth.

> Not everyone is allergic to poison ivy. But, also, you can go for decades never reacting to poison ivy, and then all of a sudden immunity go bye-bye and you get a heck of a dose.
