Hi Cath, is that true that if you throw the grass cuttings into the compound for the chooks they can gorge & get impacted crops?
If so that could have been the cause for my one that got the impacted crop. When we had them last year dh did not discard the grass into their compound.
Then for some reason a few months ago he started doing it. (said it will act like a mulch & the chooks liked it).
Then as you know one of my chooks got the impected crop & although it's not gone it is better & I still am massaging it most days when I have not been so busy I forget
I stopped dh putting the grass cuttings in the compound because when the grass dries it gets in my croc's.
So hopefully that could be the mystery solved. Jane & co.
