Re: [CHICKENS-101] bird

My cats in the past,  finally my cat now(after I about pounded the cat to death to get a chick away from him), my friends cats, all do not eat chicks, ducklings, poults, et... and often sleep with the chickens.  Not all cats catch on and the pound is way better than a drop off in the country like many people do. We get a never ending stream of strays that go feral. They have to be destroyed when caught in live traps up against my pens.  Our pound will not pick them up and I do not want them under any circumstances. Cathryn

Yes you have to train them not to. There is the essence of it: YOU

HAVE TO TRAIN THEM NOT TO. Not all cats hunt birds, but, HELLO,
OBLIGATE CARNIVORES WILL KILL SMALL PREY. It's the way of it. The cat
was doing what his instincts told him to do.

Cats are evil because they are obligate carnivores? It's the way the
Goddess made them, or for the Christians, God made them like that.
They eat small birds. They eat mice and rats, moles, all kinds of
little animals. And you're going to take the cat to the pound without
a second thought because he did what God/dess programmed him to.

Think about it.
