Here in the uk Me & my dh braught 2 chickens at point of lay from a chap in the next village they were only £10 each compaired to our hybrids £13 for the 2 sussex stars & 2 bluebells.
The chap told us they were legbars but from pictures in books & what we have seen on the internet, we think they are araucanas
They have big tufts & beards, they lay blue eggs & they are white with just a couple of black specks to the wing feathers, the opposite to the one in my book which is all black with a couple of white specks.
They are not as tame as the hybrids. I am sure they are araucanas, and if so they would normally have cost about £15 - £18 here in the uk that's what my mate just paid for her silver araucana. She is the one with 12 chooks a right variety lol. She's promised to take me to the next chook market she goes to. Jane & co.
I still have not made my mind iup about the ducks yet.?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
