Just wanted to share... we had a beautiful sunny day today in Indiana! Such a relief after a horrible summer. Spent this day outside working on the coops, adding more nesting boxes, and repairing the girls favorite spot along the fence.. I swear someday they'll dig to China! As I was working on the fence my little lovies sat around me, occasionally nudging me lightly and wanting to get closer for more love, they nestled between me & the fence. It slowed me down, but I was more than happy to take these brief moments. Who would have thought these creatures could steal my heart. They have rescued me in so many ways...out of depression after a death in my family, helping me move & work off 50 lb, and rekindling a compassion & strength within me. They have created a stronger family bond with my kids & husband, as we all share in the joy & sometimes..not so fun chores.. Except for the Eggs! I thank them every morning for their gifts they give and each n ight tell them I love them. Who would have thought? If just a short time you are with me.. I am grateful.
