My main chicken barn and cattle barn have concrete floors and the chick barns wood flooring with fluffy flakes of bedding. The nipple waters drip when the chickens get a drink and only work outside for the chickens who figure it out. I am staying with the regular waters that I put ice chunks in when it is hot out and a heater base under in the winter. The water dishes are easier to keep clean than water lines.
