[CHICKENS-101] Crazy youngsters

Last night about the time I usually lock up, I had to go pick up youngest dd from school after an away volleyball game (they won for the record). I got back just as a thunderstorm rolled in. By the time I grabbed a flashlight & stupidly an umbrella (dh threw away my raincoat this summer) it was raining pretty good. I ran out to find 10 youngsters hunkered down next to the coop door in the run. Seriously when are they going to learn!? It was pouring by the time I was done and since the umbrella was only in my way I was drenched too. I've never had such dippy young ones before.
Then today I went out to feed and found a pullet stuck in a pallet. Not under, IN. Stuck between the boards. I had to use a jigsaw to cut the board. Never thought I'd have to cut a chicken out of a pallet. She's fine.
These kids get into more mischief. Scared to see what they have in store for themselves and me next.
