I've been glad to have all the reports about the various experiences with chick shipments--both so I know what to expect, and what various companies might be like.
I know that both the Blue Seal store near us, as well as Tractor Supply, take chick orders (I'm in N.H.) Anyone had experience with either one? At present, we're looking at getting Barred Rocks... <g> My husband's choice, I figured I'd pre-select the several that are cold-hardy, good at foraging, and gentle (as well as good layers and dual purpose), and then let *him* think he was getting to choose--and that's what he liked!
