I love my red girls! They are sweet as long as they aren't on a nest. My Buff Orps are ok, about the middle of the flock as far as being gentle and having personalities. But the RIR roosters are another matter. I'll never get another RIR rooster again! They are MEAN!

I've never had RIRs or Orps so I would like to ask why you prefer
the buff Orps over the RIRs. Is it because of personality? Need for care?
