Hi Cath, hope your enjoying all that rain! We here in Wiltshire U.K. have had mainly sunshine for the last couple of weeks, and although I am enjoying the hot weather it causes more work as I am having to water the garden every day.
To top it off a lady we are doing an emergancy one off garden tidy for, decided she did not want her lavender hedge, sadly we had to take it out on one of the hottest days, but she said give it a good home. So I planted it in my emergency plant area (where some new plants go while I am decideing where to put them)
So am having to give them a real good dowsing down every eve.
Eventually I am going to have them in my front garden.
The old privet hedge is going ( I hate the smell (stench) the flowers on it makes, they make me sneeze too & they need pruning twice weekly).
It is going to be replaced by a lovely white picket fence (made of used pallets) and behind it the neat row of lavender (when I have finished de-weeding where the hedge was) & put some nice potting soil in.
Behind that I already have, Pampas grass, Budlea, Hibiscus & Weigela, all amazing plants at different times of the year, Can't wait to see it when it is finished.
This is where the gravel is going in the front garden (I have been bringing it over from my neighbors house on the other side of the road in wheel barrow fulls) worth it as it was free.) When it is finished I will take a picture.
Only 3 days left till hatch day, hope some do hatch! Jane & Co
