Jen, As long wild birds can get in, there is no way to figure out what they have. Wild birds carry many diseases, everything from bacterial, mycoplasmas, to viruses. It could be anything from a mycoplasma to Infectious Bronchitis to ILT...the list is endless. I'd start over and make my pens wild bird proof. If you have an in and out door for your chickens to go in and out, so wild birds cannot get into their pen, coop, feed, & water, then you could narrow the list down. I have no idea what would or would not help. In your shoes I would test or cull the entire flock and start over. Basic bio security is keep the wild birds out..... The worst part is you can track to other farms and people's house birds. I am so sorry. Cathryn
Can I get the Tylan at the feedstore.. or have to go to vet? No new birds added. Yes wild birds can get in. As far as stress, the only thing I can think of is the kids messing with them. Sometimes they try to catch thm to hold them, but not often and not for long periods of time, not more than they usually do.

I have a hard time finding things on the internet on chicken sickness... it has lists of diseases, then symptoms. I need to find a place to look up the symptoms, then find the illness.. any ideas?
