Re: [CHICKENS-101] Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to the fair we go!

Oh, I miss going to the fair!  How long will you be there?  I can just feel the excitement of living in the show barn for a week, trying to sleep with animal noises all around me.  NOT sleeping the first night each time, because it was always so thrilling.

Have a great time and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Mia.

We cooped in our very first show birds tonight, at the County Fair :-)  The kids are each entering 6 chickens and 1 turkey.  It's been so much fun getting them ready.  FYI, turkeys do not like, or appreciate, baths...at all.

Since only a few of our breeds are APA recognized, we were only able to take our White Crested Blue Polish, Light Sussex (Greenfire Farms lines), Bantam Lavender Ameraucana, Welsummers and our last Frizzled Barred Bantam Cochin roo "Sparkplug".  The kids are super excited :-)  I didn't enter any birds in the open show, as I wanted to be able to concentrate on their birds.  Today is Mia's 9th Birthday too :-)
