Here is an interesting article on the current salmonella problem.  Finally the dept of ag is making sure commercial flocks that provide eggs to consumers are tested, which should have been done all along. Here in MI if you sell eggs and or meat your flocks have to be tested.  Cathryn

I agree Marlene. There are some coops out there that you'd definitely want to pass on the eggs for sure. According to what I've been reading though every egg has the potential to have Salmonella. Some coops though just seem more likely candidates for Salmonella as per their hygeine or lack thereof.
