George, Be careful!!   It was on the news that bears are very hungry this year and people look like food to bears this year.  There is a shortage of a pine nut that is a diet staple.  We'd sure miss you, so please be careful. Cath



From SF to some remote gulch in the Nat'l Forrest near Yosemite. Main means of communication with the civilized world is smoke signals. Packed my Bear Spray and survival equipment. The DW talked me into this trip right after she renewed my Life Insurance. She assured me that there in no connection. I wounder if I can rent a carrier pigeon in case I need help? I could probably bunk in with Big Foot in a pinch if I'm abandoned.
Have a DS checking on some very unhappy chickens at being cooped up for 10 days even with a run.
