some people will butcher excess roosters, it's difficult to re-home roosters, so the best way to avoid ending up with a lot of roosters is to buy just pullet chicks. Occasionally you will still end up with a rooster or two, but usually you get just females that way.Then if you do want a rooster, just watch your local feed stores or craigs list or such, or even local breeders if there are any. It's easy to find free roosters, not easy to find a home for a rooster you don't want.
