Re: [CHICKENS-101] Re: GOOD MORNING EVERYONE-another newbie

Rhonda, It was 2 here yesterday in MI; don't know what the wind chill was because I got to school as fast as I could after I woke up to dig in on all the exams, iep work, grading, testing to still be recorded/graded, et...  It was bitter cold with a wind. My helper told me all the dishes without heaters were frozen.  She wanted to know how to keep them from freezing.  Welcome to winter...water cups freeze and there is nothing to do about it but to clean out the ice and refill them with water.  Monday we will be back up to 40 during the day time.  Thank heavens.  I am heading out in a bit to spray all the chickens.  Mites and lice love winter and it's time to make sure all the birds are sprayed and protected.

brrrr it's cold today.>>

Jeez, Donna, if you're cold today, what were you (let's see) a week ago?? <g>  (We hit -2, I think--horses' water froze in the barn, my mare wanted her blanket thank you, and the cat crawled under the covers!)

I'm only about 10 miles north of the Mass. line in Wilton--where are you?  (Private reply OK if you prefer!)
