[CHICKENS-101] The Time Keepers

 

Chickens keep good time! At least they do when they know it is nearing the time of day when my husband(Ed) goes out to give them their special treat and check their nests for some eggs.

At 5p.m. every day they get some scratch feed.They are fed in the morning and their food is on demand in the yard. But the scratch is their dessert. Late afternoon around 5pm, they gather at the fence patiently awaiting for their treat.

Last night Ed was late,and by 6pm they were pushing at the fence and complaining. I was going out to give them the scratch when ed got home. He went and they got their snack, but they sure were all following him around and grumbling about his lateness. :<)
