RE: [CHICKENS-101] Turkeys

You know, if you have room in your coop, I’d let them stay together.  But, be prepared for their size.  Also, Toms can get mean—not always, but I think more often than not.

Subject: [CHICKENS-101] Turkeys

So I have 2 turkeys I bought by accident. Thought they were chickens.

We bought them at the end of Feb. They are very attached to the chickens. When would I need to sperarate them.

Do they require a dust box also and should I provide a perch for them They are double breasted. right now they live in a dog crete in our house with 2 road island red and 2 anercanas. They all cudle and sleep together.

Thanks,
