Brenda leave them as long as they have no problems. I've had gentle turkeys raised with chickens and they all did fine. My wild turkeys were fine until a black broody hen growled, jumped up, and bit Tammy in the butt. From that point on all black silkies were in danger from Tammy. Tammy, her palm royal friend who was her other eye, and her mate Peep Peep had to have another pen and house because of the silkie jumping her. Tammy should not have tried to steal a silkie nest. LOL! Wild turkeys are more of an aggressive bird and not for the inpatient, you never stop working with them and training them. It's a lifelong commitment for as long as they live and even though they were handicapped it cost me 45.00 to renew the license every 18 months.. Cathryn

We bought them at the end of Feb. They are very attached to the chickens. When would I need to sperarate them.
Do they require a dust box also and should I provide a perch for them They are double breasted. right now they live in a dog crete in our house with 2 road island red and 2 anercanas. They all cudle and sleep together.
