Or you have strong breeds! Some of us show and are exposed to a lot of yuck! Some of us have rare breeds that their immunity is weaker. I have been discussing this with my partner in crime a lot lately. Do you take your best to a show? Or take stock and try and sell it at the show and not bring them home? Or just wade through it and if they get sick, they weren't strong enough to re breed anyway??
I had a pen get sick. I lost a maran. 2 of my ameraucanas and another maran had to go through the symptoms. Sex links and RIRs never missed a beat. Stronger birds!

Subject: [CHICKENS-101] disease
I've noticed there's lots of discussion about disease and treatment.Kathy and I have kept 20-50 chickens for many years and we've never had a disease problem. Deaths are rare and then from old age or one flies into the dog pens. When one gets diahirrea, we isolate it and put some med in the water for a week or so. It clears up, then back with the others.I guess we just be lucky?MarvinRural Real Estate agentFayetteville, Arkansas
