Re: [CHICKENS-101] dead babies

Is everyone with new chicks putting electrolytes in their water? If I can recommend only one thing, electrolytes!! Costs about $2.00 for a pack that will last a long time. Those babies you buy have traveled, met new faces, have children handle them and they just got a second, or third, brand new home. Electrolytes!

[CHICKENS-101] dead babies

I bought a dozen light brahma chicks from TSC. After a few days I noticed some odd behavior ie:Laying down with wings spread out and twitching. If I saw it soon enough I could pick it up fold its legs and massage its back and it would immediately recover. If I didnt catch it soon enough they die. I had trouble with their chicks last year also. Any ideas?
