Re: [CHICKENS-101] Cool Eggs

I miss my off-white, olive green, pink and blue eggs I used to get from
my girls. I get brick colored brown eggs in two different shades from
my outside girls. I get pale pink and off white from my little bantam
cochin girl and Sebright girl, and we are blessed with eggs.

I hadn't been to collect eggs from the outside girls, and not seeing the
three oldest girls out today, sent me looking in the shed for them,
afraid something happened to them. Fortunately, they were OK but
afraid to get down from their perch in the dark. They were so pitiful,
huddling together, I had to give them a little love. When hubby
replaced the light, we found three bunches of eggs, waiting to be
collected. When moving along to the mixed clutch of brown eggs, I found
the third batch of eggs to be warm, as if someone had been sitting on
them. We left them alone, to see how Nature turns out. I am excited,
as this is my first batch of hatchable eggs from chickens. I only have
the one rooster outside, and he has been "busy." If there are cockerels
in the bunch, I hope they are as good natured as Eggolas is .
