PEEPS ARE HERE! PEEPS ARE HERE!
I'M SO EXCITED I CAN'T STAND IT!!!! Okay-- so I made sure they all got a drink and know where the water, feed, and warmth is located. Had a about 20 min to watch them dash back & forth around the trough, tripping themselves and each other. While a few seem very small, overall they seemed to be okay. I had to run out to give a massage at 9 when I got back I see one is holding her little head funny. Sideways, almost upside down. Called my local feed supply (where we get all our stuff and started to order chicks from) and was told to put sugar (1tbs/gal) in the water for her. Did that. My roomy, who has raised loads and loads of chicks doesn't usually do anything like that, so I don't have anything else on hand other than sugar. Fortunately, she'll be back this afternoon.
So my question is--is there anything else I can do for her or do some just come with crooked necks?
Okay gotta run and watch them some more.
