I got 6 babies a week ago. They've grown everyday and are adorable. I have the brooder in my office right next to my bedroom and they seems very content.
Here's my question: Since I've had the chicks, I've had to double my asthma treatments. Could I be allergic to my chicks or would it be more likely the pine shavings I am using on the bottom of the brooder?. Yes, I will go see the doctor but I wanted to ask here if anyone else suffers from allergies to their chickens.
They will be outside in about a month. I am hoping that even if I do have a chicken allergy that the outside air will dissapate the allergens.
Any suggestions?
