Birds and rabbits should not be mixed and my vet even had me keep my pet birds in a different room from the kids house broken rabbit. A woman who raised angora rabbits had her rabbit barn door with fencing storm doors to keep her chickens out because the rabbits could get sick from them. I don't remember why/what the diseases/et... just to keep them separate.
