I love that rabbits can be trained. Am allergic to rabbits and now avoid them.

My dad raised rabbits and chickens (among other small animals) from as early as I can remember until he passed away a few years ago. He was lovingly known as 'the rabbit man'. The rabbits were always, however, in the free standing cages as previously mentioned and NEVER on the ground. We literally had a hundred or a few hundred in rows of cages and chickens and occasionally those messy ducks free ranged the yard below the cages. He cleaned daily and kept buckets in the four corners under the cages because rabbits will train to always use the bathroom in the same place and the buckets caught much of their waste which he had plenty of gardeners who loved to help handle our free fertilizer! He had his own system set up and built and sold his own cages for many many years.
